Educational Resource Awards finalist : 2010

Mantra Lingua have been shortlisted for a prize at the Educational Resource Awards (ERAs). Their product, TalkingPHONICS with RecorderPEN (Pack 1: Early Years) has been selected as a finalist in the Best Early Years Resource or Equipment – involving ICT category.
Talking Phonics Pack
A resource to put fun into phonics, using ground-breaking technology to make the fundamentals of reading enjoyable. Children can explore areas of the many resources in the pack with the RecorderPEN to hear songs, sounds, information and instructions. They can record themselves into the resources and hear their own voices played back instantly – ideal for developing sound discrimination skills, practising pronunciation and building confidence.

Organised by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and Affinity Media, the ERAs highlight the quality and diversity of educational products and resources. The winners will be announced at a gala event to be held in Birmingham, at The Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on the second evening of The Education Show 2010: Friday 5 March 2010.

Mantra Lingua finalist in BETT 2010 Award for RecorderPEN with Sticky Labels

We are delighted to announce that the RecorderPEN has been recognised by the judges of the prestigious BETT Awards. The RecorderPEN is a finalist in the digital devices category, rewarding the development of innovative and effective ICT hardware for learning and teaching in the primary, secondary and further education and skills sectors.

The BETT Awards is an annual scheme that highlights exemplar digital products intended for the education marketplace, judged in association with Becta, the Government's lead agency for ICT in education.

The awards recognise outstanding education sector products and learning solutions. Judges review the entries based on a range of criteria, including design, cost-effectiveness, support of higher order skills and effective learning and teaching styles. For the technical evaluation, focus is on the robustness and resilience of each product, and its accessibility for those with specific needs.

Mantra Lingua are delighted to announce that the PenFriend has won the Best Electrical Product award at the enABLE 2009 Awards for life-changing products.

The enABLE09 Innovation Awards aim to demonstrate and promote the products and services available to disabled consumers, and their carers, to meet their independent living needs. The Awards provide the UK’s first benchmark of excellence for such life-changing products.

Mantra Lingua Wins Practical Pre-School Awards : 2008

BACK TO SCHOOL

The latest news at Mantra Lingua is that we have just been presented with 3 prestigious Practical Pre-School Awards, in recognition of our dedication to innovation and excellence within multilingual teaching publications and products.

The Practical Pre-School Awards test hundreds of products in 111 different companies. Only products achieving at least 60 per cent win an award. To win the gold award products must achieve an average score of 85 per cent or more. Our books and publications have just earned us the Gold Award.

Our Senior Editor, Joe Marriott received the three awards on behalf of Mantra Lingua on 12th September 2008.

We received the Gold award, ‘Books & Publications’ for our TalkingPEN Mats, the Silver award, 'Multimedia' for our My Clothes CD Rom, and the Bronze award, ‘Teaching Resources & Equipment’ for our Nursery Terms charts.

Mantra Lingua are pleased to sponsor the Nursery World Award for the best pre-school organisation 2008

The Nursery World Awards recognise and celebrate the best that is being achieved throughout the UK. A chance for nurseries and pre-schools to have their hard work, innovation and dedication recognised, to communicate some of the learning and best practices in early years education and child care, and generally raising the profile of the sector.

Robene Dutta and Mishti Chatterji, Mantra Lingua’s directors, will announce the winner in the best pre-school category on November 21st 2008, at a black-tie ceremony at the Hurlingham Club in West London.

Recent Events

We attended the Scottish Learning Festival and the TES Education show and were inundated with interest in the TalkingPEN and our newest products.
